Bloom Fresh, Backed by EQT, is an innovative AgriTech business, was partially divested from the global Spanish agricultural company Amfresh. They specialise in sustainable and technology-driven farming solutions.
To quickly establish an efficient Head Office Finance Function in London following the EQT-led divestment from the Spanish corporate, BloomFresh needed to enhance its operations and ensure smooth integration.
Cedar collaborated closely with the Interim CFO, EQT, and legacy Spanish shareholders to design a comprehensive hiring roadmap aligned with the company’s evolving needs. This included:
- Project managing the rapid sourcing and deployment of skilled interim professionals and carefully planning their onboarding.
- A staggering onboarding phases, to ensured seamless integration with the ‘go live’ dates of each function.
As a result, multiple interim professionals were deployed to build a fully operational finance team, including:
- Group Reporting
- Management Reporting
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Treasury
- Operational Accounting (AP, AR, Etc)
This phased approach minimised disruption and enabled the organisation to meet ambitious milestones with efficiency and precision.
- Deployment of a team of 8 interim professionals, within a matter of days from ‘go live’ to assignment commencement.
- Professionalisation of the finance function, and the provision of sufficient time to begin permanent searches to wind down the interim cover over several months.
